Turning Point is a medley of 34 very short inspirational stories with real life experiences drawn from different cultures and set in different parts of the world. These stories could be read individually or in series but in no specific order. They suggest helpful lessons that adults could draw from in relating to children and young people. The lessons are equally helpful to children and young people in their general social development and in finding ways to impact the world around them. For example some stories empower young people to maintain right perspectives in times of change and in dealing with disappointments. Through an emphasis on themes such as heritage, purpose, potential, identity, destiny, family, community and justice, children as well as adult readers are prompted to reflect on and change their beliefs as well as to take action that leads to positive change.
